中國搖滾已死？藉由尋找失蹤的前「做夢」樂隊吉他手吳珂，本片帶領觀眾回溯中國搖滾樂的前世今生。從1986年起，崔健、竇唯、何勇、張楚這群搖滾樂手走過了不凡的年代，時至今日卻各自面臨不同的問題。是什麼改變了他們的搖滾之路？三十年的改革開放又為他們的命運帶來什麼轉變？

Night of an Era tells the stories of China's first generation of rock musicians since 1986. Together they went through the most glorious era of Chinese Rock, yet, their lives have changed since the intervention of commercial system, as well as drugs, and some unnamable factors.
