埃及開羅城外全世界最大的墓園中，隱藏了一座活生生的城鎮，居民高達一百萬人。

 這裡有麵包店、咖啡廳、商場、學校，生活所需的一切都可以在墓碑之間找到。

母親擔心著女兒的歸宿，男孩們追求著女孩們……無論在城市、鄉村或是一個巨大的墓地，生活中所要擔憂的事情其實都是一樣的。

The City of the Dead, in Cairo, is the biggest necropolis in the world. One million inhabitants live there: in the tomb houses or in the buildings that have grown up around the tombs. We can find bakeries, coffee shops, markets, school for the children, mechanics for the cars. Everything inside the cemetery.

The City of the Dead is gigantic but it feels like a small village. Mothers want to marry their daughters; boys keep chasing the girls. These things never change. It doesn’t matter if you live in a big city, in a village or in a cemetery.
