 漸凍人，正式學名是運動神經元病變。這種原因不明的慢性病，使患者身體不受控制，漸漸失去行動能力。

這種令醫學界仍束手無策的病症，無法治癒，只能面對，就像命運一樣，患者和身邊的家人沒有任何選擇權。

然而，在患者訴說「靈魂像是被囚禁在身體的牢籠」的同時，生命的韌性與力量在自由的靈魂中顯現出來……

Jail of Flesh, is a documentary that delves into a rare neurological disease: it is fatal, incurable and what provokes it is unknown. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis attacks the motor neurons; those who have this disease gradually lose total ability to move.

This film is told in first person; the characters speak about their condition as terminal patients, and through their life experience we are able to understand the disease and glimpse a part of the human condition as it relates to death, hope and transcendence.
