 「垃圾」一詞是相對的，但多數人對垃圾的定義是絕對且刻板的；而「垃圾人」這種人的定義，也是相對的，相對於人類將廢棄物聚集處置的習性、對垃圾避而不見即謂消失的鴕鳥心理。

導演從事電影美術相關工作，接觸「物」的時間多於「人」，本片以活潑的敘事，帶出他看待垃圾的特殊觀點，進而連結人與人之間的微妙關係。

“Trash” could be a relative term, but most people have stereotyped definitions about rubbish. For some people, trash could be somehow treasured. As a production designer for short films, I started to observe trash in the cities and collected them as my own properties for those low-budge films. A few years after, I realized I am emotionally close to all these trash that I have been taking care of. 2009 April, we decided to take a family portrait with all the trash to commemorate the treasurable love we shared with each other.
