PBS電視台報導七個不同國家學童的上學之路，每三年記錄他們的轉變。對於不畏塔利班威脅的阿富汗女孩來說，學校是她實踐夢想的地方；對巴西貧民窟男孩而言，學校是他遠離毒販與幫派的庇護所；對於自幼稚園就讀菁英學校的日本男孩，學校是理所當然的存在⋯⋯。同樣純真的孩子，因為不同的社會條件，而有著截然不同的上學之路。

PBS Wide Angle's documentary project, Time for School , started following the lives of seven children from seven countries as they first entered school back in 2003. Now, six years later, while the Japanese schoolboy enters middle school without a hitch, the girl in Afghanistan struggles against the ongoing threat from the Taliban. The series presents an overview of how these children of similar age differ in their educational journeys.
