當「阿拉伯之春」的號角響起，紀錄片導演尚恩冒險隻身來到葉門，他聘請當地導遊凱斯帶他走訪革命者的基地，凱斯卻頻頻抱怨抗爭運動讓觀光客止步，害他做不成生意。由於導演的堅持，本片難能可貴地拍攝到葉門民主革命中最震撼人心的時刻，更令原本對革命漠不關心的凱斯有了極大的轉變。

The Reluctant Revolutionary is an intimate portrait of Yemen as the revolution unfolds, told through the eyes of Kais, an intelligent if ambivalent commentator on the changing times of Yemen, offering poignant moments of reflection, loss, anger and hope on the unknown road to revolution and change.
