2007年緬甸發生大型的反軍政府運動，震驚全世界。在這個與外界隔絕的國度，超過三十名的年輕記者們，利用衛星將他們偷偷拍下的歷史性畫面，傳送到世界其他角落。身穿紅袍的僧侶們成群出現在遊行隊伍中，緬甸人民群情激憤，連當時仍遭到軟禁的翁山蘇姬也含淚站在家門口向他們致意。因新聞自由在緬甸受到高壓控制，本片在極其危險的情況下拍攝，時而搖晃的鏡頭，真實呈現出人們對於民主的渴望，令人震撼又感動。

Armed with small handy cameras, undercover Video Journalists in Burma keep up the flow of news from their closed country. Burma VJ brings us close to the video journalists who deliver the footage and the historic 2007 "Saffron Revolution" they experienced - when Aung San Suu Kyi was still under house arrest.
